Dolgellau:

It rained. But the sun shone on Barmouth so we ate an ice cream. Walked 17 miles on Saturday. Party split in the rain on Sunday - (1) under Cadair Idris (mad) (2) Tea shop in Dolgellau (sensible)

Perth-y-Pia:

A fun weekend at an excellent independent bunkhouse, good walks. Table mountain and continued along the ridge on Saturday. Everyone chipped in to cook the Saturday evening meal (ok - who forgot about the veggie!). Sugar loaf on Sunday followed by an Italo-Welsh tea shop in Crickhowell.

Coniston:

Booked too late to get into Coppermines. A 3-day long weekend. On Saturday it was very warm, everyone walked the classic Old Man of Coniston horseshoe (blue route), about 12 miles, suncream needed even in April and on Sunday the B party walked as far as the A party but without the up, the A-team did Lingmoor and Holme Fell (green route)with a visit to a very nice pub between the 2 (does cakes and tea as well as real ale). Monday was an easy amble around Letterbarrow. (red route)
